Don't Worry.

I've got this quote from zenpencils again, and I want to share it. We all know worrying is a demon inside our heads. The closer we acquaintance this demon, the faster it devours us. Everyone is worried, about the future, the loved ones, the daily crisis, it's even expected, but if nothing we can do about it, why worry yourself sick?

I know it's easier to say that do, let's just say, worry is a habit, and not worrying is a virtue. If we can view it that way, we will be freed from its prison. This is another quote I like from Kafka on the Shore.

"Pointless thinking is worse than no thinking at all". Murakami

Of course, I never talk about my worries or problems. Not because I whistle all the time, but it's because I figure that being someone who is aware of her own feelings and not let her negative energy affect other people around her is a lot more heroic.

Also, it's not because I'm being pretentious, acting one way and feeling the other. I pity those who do that by the way. I choose not to breath a word of my losses, worries, or doubts, because I believe that what I think will make me who I am, who I want to be, whether I would be a better person, an enthusiastic, funny or wise someone who ever lived, it's all up to me. And it proves that my life is happier that way, so I hope it would make a difference in yours too.

  1. Don't worry, Be happy!

Good for you. I wish I can do that too, you know it's not easy to stop worrying when things are out of control. :S

  2. That's why I said it's like a habit, we have to train ourselves to stop worry. I don't mean I never feel worried at all, it's just when I have problems, I would sit down and think of the ways to deal with it instead of worrying, I get better when I decide to brush everything aside, esp after I have listed all the solutions down. You know, like Plan A, B, C and so on. If plan A fail, then B or C, stuff like that.

  3. Hehehe I remember the song from Bobby McFerrin: DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY!

    Don't CHAIN yourself with WORRY!

Sometimes you need to loosen up a little bit. Let your beloved know what worry you. They love to hear it and be there with you. Hehehe I don't know. I love it when my people tell me about their well-being and stuffs, but I just realize I don't let them know much what I've gone through too. Ummm Like you, I choose not to breath a word of my losses, worries, or doubts too. I think it's pointless and they don't just sit and listen to yours. But I'm better than you, because I did sometimes when people dig it out of me. Because I know their feeling when I want to listen to them too. So I like making it easy for both side.

  4. Hahaha Same same but different, eh? I know, you want me to be happy, and I'm already happy when I know that you care! Thank you dear, you're the best! I like being free of worries and doubts, that's why I don't talk about it or remind myself about it. I do tell people when they ask me, when I feel that their concern is stronger than my fine-thank-you tendency. But hardly anyone breaks through that part in me anyway, so? I just deal with it my own way, which is now my Don't-Worry-Be-Happy attitude.
